{"id":1040,"date":"2023-03-23T13:34:32","date_gmt":"2023-03-23T13:34:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/asbmbaconnect.cb.amrita.edu\/?p=1040"},"modified":"2023-03-23T13:34:32","modified_gmt":"2023-03-23T13:34:32","slug":"interaction-with-pattima","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asbmbaconnect.cb.amrita.edu\/index.php\/2023\/03\/23\/interaction-with-pattima\/","title":{"rendered":"Interaction with Pattima"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">In Amrita school of business, we have a grannie working and her name is Nachima.\u00a0 She is 84 years old.\u00a0 Everyday she never misses to please us with her innocent smile on her face.\u00a0 She lives near Ettimadai, in a place called KG Chavadi, Coimbatore.\u00a0 Nachima has been working here from the year 2007 for almost 16 years before she used to work in construction sites for daily wages.\u00a0 Her life is full of misery, no husband, son who passed away after his marriage, her daughter left, abandoning her and now she lives alone. Even after all these, she never shows a single sign of grief.\u00a0 She said \u201c You people are here for me even if I have no one to look after me and that is why I\u2019m toiling here for years\u201d. Those words made me feel delighted from the bottom of my heart.\u00a0 When I asked about her interest and hobbies she gave a sarcastic comment saying, I like to act in cinemas, although it was a joke it didn\u2019t feel the same.\u00a0 She finds happiness in us; kudos guys we made her really lively here.\u00a0<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/asbmbaconnect.cb.amrita.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/IMG_20230317_120915_820-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1042\" width=\"599\" height=\"449\" srcset=\"https:\/\/asbmbaconnect.cb.amrita.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/IMG_20230317_120915_820-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/asbmbaconnect.cb.amrita.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/IMG_20230317_120915_820-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/asbmbaconnect.cb.amrita.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/IMG_20230317_120915_820-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/asbmbaconnect.cb.amrita.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/IMG_20230317_120915_820.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 599px) 100vw, 599px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\"><br>Further I questioned about \u201cWhat is Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham to you?\u201d<br><br>She replied \u201cThis place gives me what I need.\u00a0 Everyone from my supervisor to the Vice Chancellor treats me in a very good manner.\u00a0 I feel my best whenever I step inside the campus.\u00a0 I\u2019m being myself here with no worries\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0<br><br>I asked about how you perceive the generation change in these many years and she came up with one good response which was \u201cTime doesn\u2019t change what actually changes is people; So we should be humble enough to accept anyone as they are and act accordingly\u201d.\u00a0 Kindness and love is all that she expects because slowly humanity is facing drought without irrigating it with kindness and love, the factors that describe the character of an individual which showcase who he\/she really is.<br><br>So at the end I really felt that was a wholesome talk which left a trace in me.\u00a0 She spoke about her life. What I learnt is- Live with what you are blessed with.\u00a0 Thank you Nachima!
