The celebration of Amma’s 70th birthday at Kulathupalayam Secondary High School, Coimbatore was marked by acts of kindness and generosity by the visit of a team from Amrita School of Business, Ettimadai on 25th September, 2023.

Dr. Nava Subramaniam, Dean of Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore graced the occasion. Her presence lent a touch of warmth and piety to the occasion. The erudite Dr. Vinu Aram, President of Shanti Ashram gracious hospitality provided us with a sense of purpose in serene and blissful environment of the Ashram. Her deep-rooted values and unwavering commitment to societal betterment was infectious.

During the visit, team ASB engaged participants in the constructive activity of seedball making. Dr. Nava demonstrated the making of the seed ball much to the delight of one and all, especially the mirthful children. It involved combining seeds with a mixture of clay and compost, resulting in the creation of robust seedballs. This hands-on endeavor not only fosters biodiversity protection by facilitating plant growth but also contributes to ecosystem restoration and the conservation of various plant species. Additionally, the team brought joy to the children by gifting toys and biscuits, and everyone shared a heartwarming lunch together.

This spirit of giving and reflection on self wouldn’t have been possible without the kinship of Shanti Ashram. The seamless organization by Shanti Ashram added to the day’s enjoyment, prompting heartfelt thanks to the entire crew. Gratitude is extended to several individuals, including Dr. Deepak Gupta, Dr. Suresh, and Dr. Sangeetha, as well as support staff Mr. Sudhir, Mr. Munusamy, and Mr. Ratinam, and the PhD students who engaged with the children.
