A team of students from Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore, recently participated in the National Intercollegiate Managerial Extravaganza hosted by PSG Institute of Management on February 1st and 2nd. Among the highlights of the event was Srijana, PSGIM’s flagship event, which provided students with the opportunity to demonstrate their skills, creativity, and knowledge. “The Branding Team,” consisting of Archana B, Darshan K, Kiran G, Vibhu Lakshmi V (second year), and Praveen V (first year), clinched the top prize with their outstanding performance in the “The Pursuit of Branding”.
The game began by assigning a mystery box containing a product and a constraint, they swiftly embraced the task at hand. Their challenge was to market a Lizard Repellent to the demographic of 31-35-year-old males and females, utilizing influencer marketing as the primary strategy.
In the midst of intense time constraints, the team exhibited exemplary skills in strategic marketing and creative thinking. They quickly employed the STP (Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning) framework, crafting detailed customer personas to understand the needs and preferences of their target demographic. This strategic approach enabled them to tailor their marketing efforts effectively, resonating with their audience on a deeper level.
One of the most remarkable feats was their ability to create a captivating presentation and video within the span of just one hour. This underscored their agility, adaptability, and effective time management skills. Their utilization of influencer marketing as a key strategy showcased their understanding of contemporary marketing trends and consumer behaviour.
Throughout the competition, “The Branding Team” exemplified the essence of collaboration and synergy. Each member brought forth unique perspectives and skills, contributing to a cohesive and well-rounded approach. Their ability to communicate effectively, delegate tasks, and support one another underscored their strength as a team.
Their triumph serves as an evidence to their hard work, dedication, and willingness to push boundaries. They recognize that success is an ongoing journey that requires continuous learning and improvement. Their success is a source of pride for the institution and a testament to the capabilities of its students. As they embark on new endeavours, the team carries with them valuable lessons and experiences that will shape their future endeavours.
